The Otter Workshop

The Otter Workshop is the combined work of father and son Harry Langworthy and Hugh Langworthy.

Both skilled and experienced carpenters, Harry and Hugh use traditional techniques and native, sustainable woods to craft high quality bespoke furniture and homeware at their workshop on the banks of the River Tamar in Devon.

Harry Langworthy and Hugh Langworthy

  About Us  

Having both started carpentry as youngsters, father and son Harry Langworthy and Hugh Langworthy have each since gained a great range of experience and training, including in traditionally crafted furniture, hand turned homeware and wooden boat restoration.

​

Now working as independent craftsmen at The Otter Workshop, they use traditional techniques and sustainable materials to provide carpentry and cabinet making services of the highest quality.

Clients who wish to be are invited to stay involved throughout the process, from the initial design stages, to sourcing and selecting materials, through to visiting the workshop to see the piece at various stages of construction.
